Baptism

Aiden and Elijah were baptized on Nov. 11, 2007. It was a lovely ceremony, with comic relief provided by my boys of course! They were really good for most of it. Eli got a little fussy at a few points, but otherwise they were very well behaved. Eli tried to pull his baptism gown off, and almost succeeded when we were standing in front of the entire congregation! That didn't work, so next he blew out his candle then chuckled (loudly) while watching the smoke rise!
Lots of family and friends were able to come, so that really added to the day. Dad and Lorraine drove up from Estevan, and were Aiden's godparents. Mom and Kelly were Elijah's godparents. Mom made the baptism gowns (or angel capes as Aiden called them!). They each had their initials along the bottom of the gowns. They are really beautiful, thanks mom!
My step brother Cary was there with his wife Sandy (and her sister Amy) and kids Robert and Sarah. They really love playing together, it is so fun to see. The other little guy is my step cousin, Daniel. He and Aiden are best buds too! Daniel's family, Auntie Tina, Christine and Thomas (and his girlfriend Natalie) drove out for the baptism as well. Great Grandma Carol and Uncle Lee (Kelly's mom and brother) drove up from Estevan. Friends of the family, Grattan and Barb O'Grady also came. Thank-you so much to everyone for sharing in our very special day! I really appreciate everyone who travelled so far to be there with us.
